The personal property of many of our elderly is at risk for theft becuase of poor administrative processes that make it easy to steal what people have worked their lives to own. It's time we look out for the elderly and their families by making sure that generational wealth can be passed on, closing the wealth gap between people of color, immigrants, and those with lower economic standing.
Many of our eighth grade students are behind national norms in reading and math. A focus on STEM education and diversity appreciation has fallen short. Our schools are overcome with challenges most educators are not equipped to deal with. All the while, kids are suffering. We must stop the "brain drain" in Gwinnett and give kids the hope they deserve as Americans.
When families have to choose between heating and eating, there is something wrong in America. Yet, the answer is not always a simple one. Let's start by making sure our Constitutional Officers give every small business owner choice of how to help their business grow. Govenment regulation should never be a reason why a small business owner closes their doors.
It is beyond time we come together as a community in Gwinnett, a place we love to call home. I have been linking arms with nonprofit organizations and community groups for years and will continue to do so. It takes a villiage to keep Gwinnett a place where the next generation wants to live.
